What genres draw you in? What about these stories makes you like them? Do you think you have been influenced by previous stories you have read?
- Ngozi suggests that there is a danger is only having a single story to represent a people or a group in society. She gives examples of when she herself was guilty of only seeing a single story. Can you think of a time when you were guilty of seeing a single story? What story did you see? What factors influenced your vision? Could other factors have widened your perspective? How can you avoid this in the future?
